Taraki was killed 9 years ago today. Killings of key Tamils should have foretold us what was to come in 2009. Those killed were capable of articulating Tamil views in Bi-lingual, Tri-lingual forums. Sri Lanka clearly did not want them living in 2009. Sivaram was a one of a kind. How much he has been missed is very much evident in the current Tamil discourse.
He was such an inspiration at many levels. He did not just devour knowledge, he constantly applied it. He saw things everyone missed. He saw around corners. And when he foresaw danger around those corners, he went beyond warnings. He proposed solutions. And many a times, he went beyond offering solutions, he implemented them. Sivaram: A rebel and a realist. A thinker and a doer: We suffer with out a you.
